"We are a diverse group of youngsters, taking part in the Youth initiative program, YIP9. Throughout the last 8 months, we have lived together in Tallevana, a big blue house surrounded by beautiful nature.

We have met each other with our different backgrounds and stories, in our shared dreams and concerns for the world.

Alongside our commonalities, we have also found opposition, confrontations and contradictions.

 

YIP9, however, has always been a fragmented group. Not all of us have been able to be here for the last 8 months. 10 accepted YIP participants were denied their Swedish student visas. 4 accepted participants were unable to enter the country and could never make it here, the other 6 were able to enter as tourists but were forced to leave Sweden after 3 months. 

On top of that, one of us can´t leave the country.

Also one of our YIP9 members is far away in Australia, who we miss every day.

This has been an experimentation ground for exploring where our personal boundaries are as individuals and together.

Showing us that diversity can and should coexist, and that is not only beautiful, but a major element in the organisation of IF 2017."
