VIEW THE PERFORMANCE RECORDING

A performance about refuge, change and humanity.

In a mix of spoken word, dance and acrobatics the performing group reminds us that every human being is a world of possibilities.

"We have walked a long way, we have ventured everything."

"No man wants to be on refuge"

"No man has greater right to welfare than another"

They said into blue silks.

While the song "who can sail without wind" was sang in the background.

A Song in Dari was sang accompanied by drums.

"Life can shift very fast, from hope to despare, from everything to nothing, from life to death."

The group would lay still on the floor and the contrast between movement and stillness would be enhanced by a grieving song, sang by Amir and the last by Jekob. Both singing in their mother languages

Representing three Bomb attacks.

At a Football game, at a wedding and at a disco. The group would first immerse in joyful movements, loud music, cheering and shouting to be interrupted abruptly by a loud bomb sound.

"We have passed many borders" says the group while picturing borders in a simple but smart and skilful way.

"We have fought to survive. Now we have to fight for joy"

"We ask for peace

We ask for freedom

We ask to be with those we love

We ask to live"
